# Medical travel to Turkey: entry and visa checklist

General preparation points for travelling to Turkey for treatment. Visa and entry decisions belong to the Turkish authorities; always verify the current rules on official sources.

## Before you travel
1. Check the entry and visa requirement for your nationality on the official Republic of Türkiye e-Visa or consulate website.
2. Check passport validity and blank-page requirements for your route.
3. Apply for the correct purpose (medical treatment or tourism) and keep your appointment and treatment documents.
4. An invitation or appointment letter does not guarantee a visa; the decision belongs to the authorities.
5. Arrange travel and health insurance if your route or clinic requires it.
6. Keep digital and printed copies of your passport, visa, appointment, insurance and payment receipts.
7. If your treatment requires the HealthTürkiye health-visa process, verify it with official sources and your clinic.
8. Check entry and exit rules and do not overstay your permitted period.
